When people first visit Art 4 You, they often ask, “Wait… are those goats out back?”
Yes — they are. And they’re part of the magic.
I’m Christina McAlister, founder of Art 4 You in Apex, and I believe creativity comes alive when we feel safe, inspired, and connected — not just to a canvas, but to life around us. That’s why I combined my three lifelong passions: art, animals, and adventure.
Here’s why it works.
Art Is More Than a Skill — It’s a Connection
I’ve taught over 1,500 guided paintings and what I’ve seen again and again is this: when people create, they open up. Art helps us express what we can’t always say. Whether it’s a kindergartener trying watercolor for the first time or a senior painting beside a pony — something shifts.
Art helps us pause, breathe, and belong.
Animals Change the Energy
There’s something calming — almost magical — about creating near animals. Our mini farm is home to friendly goats and ponies that often become the stars of our art, or quiet companions while kids and adults paint outside. These experiences spark laughter, curiosity, and even healing.
You don’t need to be an “artist” or an “animal person” to enjoy it. You just need to show up.
Small Groups, Big Impact
At Art 4 You, we keep our class sizes small so every student feels seen, supported, and celebrated. We offer:
Weekly art classes for kids, teens, and adults
Year-round art camps (2nd grade and up)
Canvas painting parties
Animal-assisted art experiences
Face painting at local events
There’s no pressure to be perfect — just the joy of creating something that’s uniquely yours.
Come Join Us
Whether you’re local to Apex or visiting from nearby Cary, we’d love to welcome you to the studio. Art 4 You is more than a place to paint — it’s a place to connect, grow, and feel part of something meaningful.
Come see how art and animals can change your day — and maybe even your life.
